'Decent Chaps' quartet formed over 20 years ago and have been a great success all over the country. They have played for Jimmy Carr, Ken Clark MP, BabyLifeline National Charity Events, Kate Adie, Richard Baker, Freddie Flintoff, Nick Owen to name but a few and play nationwide at many weddings/civil partnerships, birthday, cocktail, dinner, garden parties, balls and civic  and corporate functions.

 

Their repertoire includes Jazz, Swing, Latin, Jump-Jive, Boogie-Woogie, 1920s-1940s, Strict Tempo, Ratpack, Trad, Dixie, Marching funeral band, Marching street party band - excellent for both background and for dancing later in the evening. The instrumentation comprises clarinet, saxophones, flute, piano, vocals, backing vocals, double bass, guitar and drums and they have their own stage lighting. 

The Chaps always wear full tuxedo, with wing-collared shirts or if the weather is very hot, matching waistcoats and bow ties (also with wing-collared shirts).

 

FREE SERVICE - if a special piece of music you would like – (eg for the First Dance) – is not in the large repertoire, then I will do my best to find it and Alan will arrange it for the band.

WE CAN ALSO OFFER – Alan Walker as a solo artist, or the Chaps as a duo, trio, quartet, up to a big band – everything is tailored to your specific needs.
