'DECENT CHAPS™’ pride themselves not only on providing first-class music, but also on their overall appearance. The ‘Chaps’ always wear tuxedos thus adding to the overall ambience of the occasion. ‘Decent Chaps’ can play background music whilst you are dining or music to dance to later in the evening. The repertoire is very varied & includes Jazz, Swing, Latin-American, Rat Pack, Jump-Jive material, standards such as La Mer, Have You Met Miss Jones, Mack the Knife, Fly Me to the Moon, The Lady is a Tramp, La Bamba, Buona Sera, In The Mood, Straighten up and Fly Right etc, etc.

Bandleader ALAN WALKER is an International Artist with many years experience, playing all over the world in bands large and small from theatres to restaurants, ships’ orchestras to swing bands and dance bands, including The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Shakatak, The Supremes, The Temperance Seven & the Memphis Belle Orchestra,(from the film Memphis Belle). He has also appeared with Kenny Baker, Eric Delaney, Betty Smith, Tommy Chase and Buddy Greco to name but a few. Alan has studied classical music from the age of eleven and holds a Licentiateship in Clarinet Performance from The Guildhall School of Music, London. He has composed and played music for television and radio and is now busy playing clarinet, saxophones, keyboard & vocals in small ‘combos’, big bands and for theatre and pantomime. Alan, on clarinet, saxophones, piano and vocals, is usually accompanied by Andy White on drums & vocals; Simon Paterson on bass & vocals and Steve Rodda on guitar — ‘Decent Chaps’ play nationwide with excellent reviews!
